So why doesn't the revision show on the download page or as part of the file?
I'm looking at the Stable Channel Update page and it says the latest is 8.0.552.231.
I downloaded and clicked on it's properties. That displays 1.2.183.29. Come on guys, make it easy on us so we don't have to download the file, install, and look at the About details.

I received 8 DVDs. 7 were playable.
I spoke to trevor @ 8:07 PM mountain time.
trevor did not offer to send me a bonus dics because I got a scratched unplayable one.
The last several DVD deliveries have had a much better success rate. This makes me very curious why I had been previously asked to provide an alternate mailing address at my expense to have DVDs delivered unbroken. Customer service agents implied that I was responsible for the broken discs - presumably for some gain. For a very long time, Netflix's position was that I was the only person in my entire zip code who was experiencing broken discs. Netflix may have gotten the message that I was going to stand firm on my position that I am entitled to get what I paid for and it was their responsibility to resolve the broken disc issue at their expense of time and money. Apparently the cost of replacement discs got someone's attention.

I received 8 DVDs. Seven were playable. One was scratched and not playable.
I spoke mike.
Despite my request to cancel my membership during my conversation with david on 11/20/09, my membership was not canceled on 12/10/09. I tried changing it to 2 DVDs at a time on 11/26/06 to ensure I recieved my remaining DVDs before canceling. But, I found out on 12/10/09, my renewal date, it wasn't changed and wasn't canceled. Since I have been billed, I will continue until 01/10/10. I will cancel online and cancel my credit card, and put Netflix in the past.

I received no DVDs today
I changed my plan to 2 discs. Netflix has been dragging their feet regarding processing my returned DVDs and sending new ones.
12/03/09
I received only one DVD of the 2 I reported scratched. None of the remaining 6 have arrived.
I recieved a promotion via email to pass to friends. There is no freakin' way I would recommend Netflix to anyone.
12/01/09
I received 8 DVDs. 2 were scratched and unplayable.
spoke to mike @ 7:21 PM mountain time.
There was no offer to compensate me for the unplayable DVDs of which I have paid. He said replacement DVDs would be sent out and he summarlily hung up on me.
11/28/09
I received 8 DVDs.
It has been 8 days since I recieved any DVDs. The last 8 DVDs I received on 11/20/09 were returned on the same night to the PO Box Netflix uses to receive DVDs (their distribution address). Yes, there was a holiday, but 8 days delay? netflix is penalizing me, because of my complaints and attempts at holding them to their promises as advertised.

spoke to david @ 9:52 PM mountain time.
I received 8 DVDs. 1 was scratched and was unplayable. 1 was broken and was unplayable. He again said I should use an alternative mailing address. What is it with these people? How many mailing addresses do they think people have? I'm sure not going to have them delivered to work as they would absolutely get lost. He would not compensate me for the movies I was unable to watch, because he said I had been compensated in the past. He said I have received too many broken or unplayable DVDs. Huh? It sounds like he is blaming me. I'm confused. I buy a product. It doesn't work or the manufacturer makes a defective product, and that becomes my problem? I have said all along, just give me what I pay for - nothing more and nothing less. I told him to make an entry that I will quit my membership with Netflix as of 12/09/09. I am tried of their shit. Netflix doesn't care about customer satisfaction.

spoke to s. (forgot his name)
He didn't offer a bonus DVD.

I have been waiting for several movies since July 2009. It is a members perogative to keep a movie as long as they wish, but the fact that these have been on "Long Wait" for months indicates that these movies are at the very least lost. What are the chances that every copy of a 50+ year old movie would be on "Long Wait" for months? Is there no other copy available somewhere else in the United States? Replacements have not been added to Netflix's inventory if infact they ever existed. Netflix is cutting costs at the expense of customer service.

I received 1 DVD. None were broken and all were playable.
I have several movies in my queue since I joined in July that have a status of "unknown". I was able to add them to my queue, But, there they sit. If a movie isn't released yet and the status indicates that, then fine, but a movie that was made more than fifty years ago? Go figure. Either it is or it is not available. Why am I given the choice to add a movie more than fifty years old to my queue and the status is "unknown" or "Long Wait" for four months now? I would expect this of new releases.

I received 1 DVD: WCFields; The great man. It was broken. I received a broken copy on 10/11/09. I have waited until now and received yet another broken copy. If Netflix gets it's way, the day of the DVD is not far away. Netflix streams movies to a number of platforms: the Microsoft Xbox 360, the TiVo platform, Sony Bravia Tvs, and the Sony PlayStation 3. That means you'll have to pay for internet access to watch movies while at the same time ISPs are limiting downloads (giga-bytes) in some test markets. They will probably go to download tiers. Add up all the costs. You'll be surprised. Going back to the big-screen looks more economical and preferable. Just eat before you go.

I received 2 DVDs none were broken and all were playable. Netflix announced today it is Rolling Out Streaming Only Service Overseas. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said, "The plan hasn't been targeted toward U.S. users, because Netflix doesn't seem to believe
that there's enough demand there. Translation: they're introducing the idea elsewhere to get U.S. users used to the idea trying to avoid backlash. This is a typical ploy any company would attempt: no big secret.
10/22/09
I received 7 DVDs none were broken and all were playable. This is very confusing. I slowly open the envelopes and pull the DVDs from their sleeves with great hesitation and angst. I am relieved when all the DVDs are intact, but feel discomfort that I expect to find several broken DVDs rather than unbroken ones. In a sense, I experience anxiety due to the disappointment of not being able to watch the movies for which I have paid, contacting Netflix customer service, and waiting for a replacement DVD. This is a vicious cycle.

I asked why South Park: Season 10: Disc 2 is still in my queue? I have already received and sent it back as an email confirmation will substantiate. On 10/13/09 I received South Park Season 10 Disc 3 - two identical copies, one copy was in a sleeve labeled Season 10 Disc 2. I assume this is where the confusion exists. He said he would remove it.
